Roots starts in Missouri because the state already has the raw material: major companies, technical universities, emerging founders, operators who have built real businesses, and a cost structure that lets people stay.
The problem is not ambition. The problem is fragmentation. Founders do not always know which operators can help. Companies do not always know which startups are credible. Talent often leaves before it discovers the rooms where the work is happening.
Roots is designed to make those rooms easier to find. The first version is intentionally practical: profiles, signal, events, forums, introductions, and a partner network that turns local expertise into founder momentum.
